The Bill

In Term 2, the Kiwis (my reading group) had to briefly retell a story we had read. Here's my retell. Hope you like it.

The Bill is about Jamie. Who found a game at the toyshop (Walky Talkys). The problem is, he doesn’t have enough money. The game cost about $50.

As a way of getting more money, Jamie gave his mum a letter along with a bill. All of the chores on it were priced $5. The chores were little things that weren’t worth $5.

When Jamie’s mum saw the bill and letter, she sent him a note thanking him for his bill. Attached to the it was a bill. On mum’s bill, it showed the things that she does for Jamie. Jamie felt sad for his mum because she does all the work so he took the bill and gave it to his dad.

Mothers are very hard working people. They pretty much do everything for us. So let’s thank them for what they do for us.

  1. What a cool retell Gloria, even if it was short!!!
Mothers do lots of things for us don't they???
I think Jamie needed to realise that more.
    Miss you lots,
    Keep up the great work!!!
